Its time to continue the story with a true sequel to the Seasonal Films classic No Retreat No Surrender.

The original film , starring Jean Claude Van-Damme and Kurt Mckinney was more important than a lot of people realise. Sure, Rocky was more acclaimed and the Karate Kid was immensely more popular but it had something different. It was a Hong Kong style martial arts in an American film. Years later people would talk about how John Woo was bringing Hong Kong cinema to the United States with Hard Target but films like No Retreat No Surrender introduced American audiences to the technical high speed, highly skilled mastery of Hong Kong martial arts cinema choreography. Years later Rumble in the Bronx would launch Jackie Chan into the America market but No Retreat No Surrender arguably started the laid the way for the trend and gave Van Damme one of his best roles as a villain in only his first real major role.

I always wanted some sort of Sequel. Jason becoming US Champion or maybe re-opening his Dads Dojo, and then some Guy shows up who had actually trained aside Bruce Lee for real.

Is this real? Will it have Kurt McKinney in it? I couldn't tell if that was him? Lee Da Ga (Bruce Lee) was a horrible interpretation of him in the first film. Would RJ be back? RIP to Scott (Kent Lipham) I used to repeat and pause him trying to jump that fence over and over. My friends and I hurt from laughing so much lol Would love to see Ian and Dean back too. Did Jason and Kelly end up together? How is the rabbit? lol I would love to see how a new movie would change the "ring" to the octagon and how the classic move being wrapped in the ropes comes alive once again. This would be a great movie to revisit early childhood. I hope it gets made!
