That was terribly unhelpful. That was the technical definition of a Spanning set, which uses a description that we'd have to decipher in another video. What does that ~mean~ and ~how~ do we determine if a set is a spanning set?

Ok, for anyone who lost in finding answers in this wideo:
To find if set spans vector space, you must compare rank of matrix made of this set with dimension of vector space.
For example if you have set S={(1, 5, 6), (0, 2, 0), (0, 0, 1)} and vector space R^3, you must check if rank(S) = 3. If they're equal - S is spanning set of R^3.

You have to use Gauss-Jordan elimination to find rank of matrix first, of course.
