A whopping 37 billion-dollar package of deals for Airbus to sell almost 300 aircraft to China’s three major airlines - Air China, China Eastern and China Southern. While Airbus is cheering, Boeing, its main competitor has come away with nothing. Why has Boeing failed, and what has it got to do with the ongoing China-U.S. trade war?

Ever since it's been found out how boeing actually buried their design flaw to appeal to their investors, it's understandable that people who appreciate their lives wouldn't bother flying on a boeing.

I am of the opinion that this is a fair and reasonable response from China.

Boeing's CEO trying to pass off Chinese airlines' decision to purchase Airbus as a result of US-China tensions glosses over the fact that years of mismanagement was what led to the decision. Delayed deliveries have become the norm and the company is now seen as unreliable due to 737 Max woes. This is what happens when you prioritize profits and stock market performance instead of passenger safety.

There goes the US GDP Boeing is one of its topmost.export producer...and China is 40% of its total worldwide sales....what do you know, the US keeps antagonizing its best.client and buyer....

Down with Boeing, down with Lockheed Martin. Down with USA's MIC.

Boeing technical superiority is no longer true, Boeing has been surpassed by Airbus.

That's because, for quite some time already, Boeing is more concerned about its investors well being instead of its passengers lives.

Simple, nobody wants to fly on flying coffins.

If i want to fly anywhere, I always ask: use boeing or airbus? If you use Boeing, i won't go, if you use Airbus, i will go and feel safe.
Even boeing employees don't believe it and don't want to fly with boeing

It's obvious! US says Huawei is run by an ex Chinese soldier and is closely tied with the govt. Well, to be honest, Boeing is more closely tied to the US govt. Boeing makes military hardware and is run by former military brass which is almost make it a govt company. Two can play the same game. It's a good thing for China to dump Boeing. I would too, if I was China. After all, it's a nation security concern for China to buy Boeing planes.

Would you fly in a Boeing aircraft after it was revealed that they put profits before safety and that the whole management knows about it. I wouldn't do business or fly in a Boeing jet even if you pay me. The A380 is my favourite and after that the A350.

Don't worry..US will force its rich puppies like Japan, Taiwan, Korea.etc to buy Boeing.. package deal with military equipments and aircrafts.

Apart from being a dubious plane and the risk of US refusing to sell spare parts whenever it suits them, isn't it a favorite US rhetoric that they refuse to do with business with companies that has link to PLA? Well does Boeing not make fighter jet too?

It’s the result of visible moral decline of USA. Remember the rating agencies rated the subprime mortgages AAA? Then the FAA rate the 707 max safe to fly? Boeing knew there was a fatal flaw, yet at first blamed third world pilots for the crashes. How vile, and criminal, to put it mildly. I will never travel in a 707max.

Boeing lied about the 737 Max design, and initially covered it up. That is hugely damaging to its reputation.

The Airbus is a better aircraft. More fuel efficient and longer range, better deal. Boeing Jets have crashed through corruption of regulation in the US. Poor video. Non Factual.

Simple answer is they priorities profit over safety.

Thank you for bringing the fantastic news. Now US has shot both its feet & will never walk again in China, the world's largest aviation market. 🤣🤣🤣

Because the Boeing 737 Max has shown the world how Boeing had put profit beyond human cost, and that just grossed the heck out of the Chinese and the rest of the world !!!
