My piano teacher showed me that if you go the other direction (circle 4ths) It is how chords resolve. Play a C chord then add the dom7th...it wants to go to F. F7 goes to Bb and so on.

I am studylng the circle of fifth and at the same time trying to learn new songs, when I realized Hendrix used the chords from the circle I swear I am going to call it the circle of Hendrix!
