If you are looking for where to stay in Athens Greece, look no further than Kolonaki. Our Athens Greece travel vlog highlights some things to do, where to stay and where to eat in Athens. If you visit Athens, there are so many things to see and do, the decision on where to stay can be challenging. Kolonaki is within walking distance of downtown, near the Metro stops and has plenty of great Athens restaurants and shopping, close to the Benaki Museum and an easy hike up Lycabettus Hill to see some amazing views of the city. It is also much less touristy than the areas near the Acropolis.

As the retirement travelers, we have always dreamed of traveling, but we never in a million years thought we would become travel vloggers and start a YouTube channel. But, that is what we did! We work hard every day to become better and create something that others will enjoy. Having a community of friends, old and new, follow our journey is fun and exciting to us.

In 2019, we achieved our goal of visiting every state in the union in our Airstream. We also visited every national park in the lower 48. We are big believers in lists, so of course we plan to see the remaining 12 parks in the next few years.

In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a suitcase and a small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.

If you guys are still in Athens, you have to try 'Aleria' and sophisticated Greek food experience and a great value considering it just got a Michelin star--a highlight of the best ingredients from around Greece. A place like this would be much more expensive in Italy, France, or New PS: it has 5 stars on virtually impossible to get.

Great video. We hope to get to Greece next summer, but in the interim we are trying a fairly new Greek restaurant we stumbled upon while driving to one of our son's college soccer games. It is a bit of a drive, but there are only a couple Greek restaurants accessible to where we live in southern Indiana. Your video definitely has whet my appetite. Thanks for sharing!
