Undershirts have three main purposes:
1. To keep you warmer
2. So that no one can see through your shirt.
3. So that you can take off the shirt on top in case you get hot without being scandalous.

My husband actually wears an undershirt with his button down shirts.

The reason for this is cause they're sheer due to the material they're made from. There are more opaque dress shirts now, but white will always be sheer unless it's made of a different material.

Undershirts are used to, for example, if you are playing at a concert and you start sweating the undershirt will prevent it from getting on your nice shirt, and it will make it more comfortable depending on the shirt you are wearing with it. There are many more things but how does Sam not know this 😂

The point of undershirt is to make your shirt less transparent (usually white shirts) or if it's cold outside

Undershirts or tank tops i wear with a dress shirt so that my flesh isn't visible, or if i need to take it off for whatever reason, i am not shirtless nor in shape at the moment. Insecurity reasons
