First download the net framework 4.8 from the following website

google the certificate and download it. type this into google
Microsoft root certificate authority 2011

- First open, Microsoft management console (mmc) right click, run as administrator
- Go to file, add or remove snapping
- Select certificate, then click add
- Select computer account, then click next
- Choose local computer, then click finish
- Click ok
- Expand certificate,
- Expand trusted root certification authorities
- Select certificate
- Right click in blank area
- All tasks, then import
- Click next, and browse to certificate location
- Download the file, open then next
- Finish..
- Import certificate into your computer successfully

Doesn't work for me. The Net installer reports the certificate is misconstructed, whatever that means. Did you leave out a system reboot after installing the certificate? I'm not sure what else to try next.
Edit: apparently some KBs need to be installed as well if you are installing Net 4.8 with Win7 or Win8.

I get the timestamp signature and or/ certificate could not be verified or malformed :((

F*ck yeah! This is the tutorial is the only that that tells you actually the right place to get the certificate. There's another one with the same info but the certificate link is sketchy as hell. Thanks!
