Well done my friend! A couple of friends and myself have a somewhat custom casual format, where we create pure decks (plants, water, fairy, zombie, etc) that also includes the extra deck and zero hand traps. It’s actually quite fun but definitely not for everyone 😁. Keep up the great work!🏆

This was a fun primer! For a future video, I'd love to see how MtG's Commander format can be applied/relates to YGO.

I'd love to know your thoughts on how its currently played. My personal opinion is I don't like it.
Because with more old school yugioh it seemed to be more of a challenge of strategy. And more like a game of chess. That could go on. And it was more fun.

Nowadays it seems to just be "okay lets see who can summon the most high & powerful monsters in the fewest turns & then win".

But I missed it when the tension would build over many turns before, whilst even with only a few cards left, someones strategy - or in-the-moment moves - has finally come to light, and an awesome monster is summoned, or the right card combination is played that just turns everything around or something and the player wins!

The main way, so far, I've found of trying to duel most with my old school deck is to set a spell on my first/second turn. And even though I only have one of these cards, it shows up surprisingly often - I also don't like just having three of every card in your deck.

And after they've worked so hard to summon so many monsters on their first turn. Gosh! You should see the look on their faces when I reveal my face down card, and it reads:

"Dark Hole".
