Orangutan Freedom: BOS Foundation's 37th Release Expedition

Since the summer of 2012 the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) has been accomplishing something truly astonishing. They've released hundreds of rehabilitated orangutans into a safe, pristine forest — back to where they belong! There are still more than 400 orangutans being cared for by the BOS Foundation, so the releases will be ongoing for many years to come!

That's my favorite part of orangutan outreach. I would love to see followup video on how these beautiful souls have fared in their first full year in the wild. Are they monitored and studied, observed and protected? Shoot, I volunteer to go live in the rain forest for a year and track these guys while documenting their transition to the life they were always destined to live.
