They've alread strayed from the 1st Novel's 'depth, ' so I don't overly expect the follow up to remain THAT true to the source material...IMO

Hey everyone, the first trailer for the Meg 2: The Trench had just premiered as Cinemacon today, of course the trailer's not online yet, but we got a good description of it though, and here it is.

“The trailer opens with two land-bound prehistoric monsters eating a large bug, with onscreen text warning that for 65 million years one species ruled the world. The T-rex? No, the Meg which eats a T-rex. Jason Statham is recruited again by Cliff Curtis to hunt another giant creature in the trench.

“But then, deep underwater, the team starts getting picked off by the biggest Meg anyone has ever seen. We then get various monsters attacking by land and by sea, with Statham almost getting eaten by a shark. We get more scenes of tourists almost getting eaten, and a really huge tentacled creature eating a helicopter. The teaser ends with Statham leaping into the air on a jet ski to face off against a shark with a sword.”

Wow!!!, I am definitely looking forward to this and appreciate any of this kind of video but I am not convinced you watched the original as there are so many inaccuracies in your look back I lost count. Glad to see some attention to this but it would be better if the look back was accurate.

While I enjoyed the movie, I was a little disappointed that Taylor's wife was a good person. In the book she was a monster who was not only unfaithful, but intentionally wanted to ruin him to make herself looked good. Let's just say she definitely didn't succeed in ruin him.

Jason Statham has 4 movies for 2023. First he already had a movie released on March 3rd, and that was called, Operation: Fortune. And he has a movie coming out on May 19th, and it’s Fast And Furious 10, and in August, it’s this one, Meg 2: The Trench, and in September, he has one last 2023 movie, and it’s The Expendables 4. I hope that he will have a good year, for all 4 of his movies, and one has already been released, as it’s now March of the year, and he has 3 movies left, for the rest of the year of 2023. If Jason Statham reads this comment of mine, I just want to say, good luck to you my good sir, and I hope you have a good, rest of the year of 2023 in general.
