Fun fact: in expedition mode, you can go to metropolis as some of the slugs later in the timeline, and there are way fewer scavengers, suggesting that arti's massacre did actually work in forcing them all out of pebbies facility

I like how the eyes aren't visualized, it's like dehumanizing them in a way. Artificer is too far gone to see anything but rage, and the scavengers are not people to her, but obstacles to kill. Love your art style too!!

i always thought this song fits artificer specifically, the line "i am the righteous hand of god" is just so powerful when you realize that artificer was led to the king scav by five pebbles

hunter hunts so many red lizards that by the time of gourmand or survivor there are much less presumably aiding in their extinction
Artificer kills so many scavs on top of pebs they deem it uninhabitable and reduce their number by so much we rarely see elite scavs again

this is amazing. i always imagine this final confrontation with intense angry background music, but something about the calm, simple conviction of this song really suits it even better. like arti's not going berserk in a blind rage anymore-- now she's battle-hardened, she has heard the echo's warning and she's making the conscious, clear-headed choice to ignore it.
she doesn't need karma; she IS karma.

"The problem with an eye for an eye is that everyone ends up blind." I cannot deny her the revenge she wants but then again I can understand her want for revenge.. how dare the scavengers be the Judge, Jury and Executioner to a literal child that didn't know any better?

I like how the karma symbol for anger and violence flashes in time with the word 'spoke' to imply that Arti speaks the next lines directly to the Scavengers, dripping with all the hatred that it implies.

This is one of the best designs for artificer i've seen in awhile!

I like how the line “I am the righteous hand of god”, and “I am the devil that you forgot” works so well. As if artificer has completely gone mad and sees nothing but rage and is only killing the scavengers out of pure spite. Making sure what she sees as a maggot of the earth, to be destroyed once and for all. And the second line is something that is said how the scavengers completely forgot about them, even after the chaos they’ve done to them and her cubs. In which they paid the price for their lives. This is in which truly makes the scavengers truly afraid of slugpups as having PTSD of having a demon of death, fire, and explosives murdering most of their species just for killing two. Truly a magnificent animation, great work.

I interpret this as the scavs dont recognize arti by her appearance, rather by her ravenous hatred and will to destroy all that the scavengers hold dear.

This is amazing. It fits the lore, its sad, it's artificer. The animation is peak, and the song fits, it captures how shit leeches are, and it makes me wonder why arti didnt just die so she could respawn with the slugpups.
But one thing i have to say in this tradgedy filled story.
