I remember living in makati (san andres bukid) was told by locals that as a white dude I should never go to the market on my own because the people might try to rob me but I went once on my own and was cool. I drank that coconut water from the guy with the stall. one of my best experiences ever!

I used to wake up at 4:00am and go with my dad to the palengke and we used to buy so much food almost like 3 big bags... And we get buko juice before we leave, I miss those moments

your palengke is exactly the same with what we got here in indonesia 😂 we called it pasar.. there is a little warung / food stall and even a barbershop 😊

My Boyfriend (European) went with me first time to the Philippines. We always buyed our food in such a public market. He LOVED it, he coudnt believe how cheap it was, even if he alwas payed a tourist price for everything haha. It was still cheap tough. Need to show him your video, he immediatly gonna miss the philippines for sure!
