Biden's Trade War Hurting China Worse Than Trump Ever Did

Despite all of Trump's performative bluster, his four-year trade war didn't do as much to affect China's economy as Biden has in less than half the time. Biden's executive orders on the manufacturing of computer chips is putting the Chinese government in a really difficult spot.

Well, while we've been talking about the U.S elections I just wanted to make people aware that the 20th People's Congress is actually going on in China right now as well, which is their election process. I studied abroad there 10 years ago when it happened when power crossed from Hu Jintao to Xi Jinping. and the president actually went ahead and removed term limits. so he's going to be the first person to have power in China for more than 10 years since Chairman Mao. obviously, there's been a more nationalist bent there in his Reign. and there's been a lot of comparisons drawn between Russia and Ukraine and China and Taiwan. So I've been listening to some Chinese podcasts and just recently came across something that's really interesting. You guys might be interested in interviewing someone by the name of Chris Miller. wrote a book called the Chip War. Apparently, I didn't know anything about it. saw this. yeah, go ahead. The vast majority of semiconductors are manufactured in U.S-aligned countries in Southeast Asia. the more ones namely Taiwan Japan South Korea. China has a little bit of capacity. America doesn't really do very much chip manufacturing anymore. but the Biden Administration just did an executive action I guess you would say that basically is going to penalize anyone that sells semiconductors to Chinese state-owned firms. They've already basically had a chip act that has dropped the IPO price of Huawei by almost 50 percent because they really don't have access to those kinds of things already. Now let me just ask you about this. because I've been reading about this. There's two things that I saw over the past couple of days and I just haven't had a chance to to look into this. the semiconductor policy my understanding and and maybe and and Bradley you know just make a note to remind me to dig more into this. I don't have the Tweet but I came across what you're talking about. and it seems to its teams it seems to basically say like you're gonna have to choose between your citizenship and working over there in that industry. Is that how we can be more explicit as to what the policy is? because I also just saw that there was an issue where China's recruited a bunch of former British military Pilots to teach the Chinese Armed Forces how to defeat Western warplanes and helicopters. and there are people who are basically saying you know use the Biden Administration tactic to basically say to these people you're going to go over there for two hundred and fifty thousand three hundred thousand four hundred thousand dollars and sell these secrets essentially or these this know-how. you're gonna lose your citizenship. because this is a national security issue.

"The Majority Report has the best audience."

Many people are saying this. They always come up to me, and they say, "Sir, this is the BEST audience, like nobody has ever seen before."

I did like at one point China Unseasoned, it want interesting to understand how of the internal dynamics in that area, despite being seen a USA lenses, it was very entertaining to watch and learn, and talked a lot about the human rights abuses there. Unfortunately I started to get suspicious of their narrative at how a Youtube channel like their could get so many guests on the show from the intelligence services. But I really started to question their sincerity of defending human rights when it's sister channel Amarica Uncovered was describing BLM of summer 2020 as criminal thugs in and undercover investigation of on of the group, while completely, deliberately ignoring why and how it started. Then used seriously edited videos of the 1/06 rioters as comically and where out to loot and pillage the WH.

Just to make this clear.

TSMC - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company makes Chips. 99% of the best chips in the world are manufactured in Taiwan, South Korea, USA, Japan and the EU.
ASML - Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography. Originally founded by Phillips and now owned by US hedge funds makes the machines that are used to make chips. It is Europes largest tech company and the only manufacturer of quality lithography machines (the machines that make chips).
Silicon Vally has many chip companies and these are designing the chips that companies like TSMC make using machines they get from ASML.

In effect, companies in Free Asia are experts at making American designed chips using European built machine tools. If you do not have access to any part of this chain you cannot make high quality chips.

About China Uncensored: I watched them for a while but eventually found out that they have some affiliation with the far-right newspaper "The Epoch Times." I don't know the specifics of this affiliation but I thought it was worth mentioning to everyone here. Caution may be warranted.

The way international relations are discussed in the media, who can blame the average person for having no clue about international affairs?

A smart tactic. Really shows where loyalties lie. Money or country. Doesn't MAGA owe Biden a thank you?

Mobilizing an airlift right now... We can get with the emergency program. Fun fact the Berlin airlift was 75 years ago and it worked!

Long live DARK BRANDON !

On a side note, I really hope the Twitter Milk Tea Alliance emoji flag becomes part of the unicode standard. For those who don't know, it's a symbol used by pro-democracy protestors and activists in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and Myanmar. Belarussian pro-democracy protesors in 2020 even started using Ryazhenka (fermented milk tea) as a symbol of resistance.

I am Australian and have been following Sams work since 2008.

From an outsiders perspective, TMR is unparalleled in quality political analysis.
