10th anniversary of the European Local Democracy Week

The 32nd Session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (28-30 March 2017) also marked the 10th anniversary of European Local Democracy Week (ELDW), a pan-European event co-ordinated by the Congress, which has taken place every year since 2007. In 2017, the theme is “Citizen participation, consultation and commitment for a thriving local democracy”.
