Very retro and cool looking. But it’s a VW! And here in America, VWs are notorious for little things constantly breaking. For example, the handles breaking off. At $60, 000 Euros, I think there will be a rush to buy the first quarter by wealthy people. Then once those customers are gone, they won’t sell.

I love German cars! But nobody gets excited about owning a VW in America. Coming out with cool looking vehicles and charging what a BMW can go for, is stupid. VW doesn’t plan on selling that many.

It is awesome. Vans have always been expensive and everybody has to decide for himself if range is sufficient.

This needed to be a $30k vehicle. What a stupid choice with the pricing and drive trains.

I honestly love this but I’d love an Eletric Vanagon camper even more!
MORE NOSTALGIA

The range is AWFUL for that price! Dang it I was really excited about this and actually considering buying it ):

Missed opportunity. They should've taken the same chassis as the eurovan and put an ev engine it it. Proper bed when seats are flat, a fronk and the dope top popping up.

It should have at least 320 mile range

There were some cracking lease deals on these a while back. I guess they are having trouble shifting 'em.

Unique in Price & Range !! VW Missed the Boat Should have been a Hybrid With Diesel Option

I can easily understand why anyone would have priorities to look at something else. This is not a technical marvel and the price is ridiculous.
But I love mine!

Does it comes with a 5 seater version? So having 2 captain seats in the middle?

If they sell all the ID.Buzz's they make the price is right

They should do a joint venture with Subaru and put the motor in the back like the original bus. Then this will fly off dealer lots. As an electric, it will have only niche appeal. Plus it will be throwaway after 10-15 years when the battery needs replacing.

It would be even more successful if it had a diesel or petrol engine. I’d hate to be stranded in the woods or on the beach because my battery drained overnight

It's selling for a premium. Mines on order 👍

Well judging by the huge popularity and completely sold out here in Norway before launch, I’d say yes. Americans, and other non Scandinavians may not agree, but different country, culture and society, different needs… works for us.

But no camping mode? ☹️ New software…? 🤔

Now front row bench like the van? No 3rd row?

There's no point questioning if it'll be a success, VW is being over confident for an EV that's just targeting a richer audience, much like its NewBeetle.
