Our First Day(s) Of School || Homeschooling 6 kids

This year has been crazy so we decided to try something new when it came to the first day of school. We decided instead of starting all 6 kids on one day we would have 3 first day's and only start 2 kids at a time. I listened to this book on my libraries audio book app. over the weekend as we traveled. I have been wanting to read it for years because I know you highly recommend it, but after reading to all my dyslexic kids all day... my eyes and brain can't handle reading for myself usually. When I found the audiobook I was overjoyed. This book seriously is THE. BEST. HOMESCHOOL. BOOK. EVER! By far the most helpful one I've read and I'd like to mention she has such a wonderful voice. I could listen to her narrate every book! As I listened I thought her voice was familiar and realized I've followed her on YouTube a while but never made the connection until now that she wrote it.

That is brilliant!! I'm currently homeschooling 4 kids, but one is just basic phonics/preschool so her school lasts maybe a half hour. But I was wondering how this was going to look when I added her next year. 😳 Starting kids in a staggered start is SUCH a good idea!! Thank you! 💕💕

What a great idea! I love this! I had never thought of starting one at a time. Maybe once a month you can do a one on one to check in and catch up. I often feel like I don’t have time to do that but this way would work so well. Thank you!!

I seen in one part of your video your son sitting at the table and he had what looked like some kind of timer in front of him and the countdown area was red to show how much time he had. I love that! How and what do you use it for?
