To my surprise, I just germinate my 6 year old broccolini seeds. Test all your seeds, you may be surprise too.

Try another seed company, like Parks or Burpee. Many seed suppliers take old stock, test for germination and add extra seed in the packet to compensate for duds. Also store your seeds together in a large, labeled plastic zipper bag kept in a cool place. Some use glass jars. Crucifer seeds are usually long-lived. Watermelon and tomato seeds can easily go at least 5 years and longer under the right conditions. Corn and salad greens, not so much.

That being said, there have been some unusual weather and sun conditions in the last 2 or 3 years that have resulted in poor garden yields. 2021 was an especially difficult year for home gardeners due to the GSM, grand solar minimum.

interesting. i have almost 90% germination rate in my garden. and the seeds are about 15 years old.
