I think, if you start adding pictures of what the item is before being put in the food. Like say it's clam and you don't know the English word for clam then you could put a picture of a clam up and we could help you translate what the Japanese name for it is in English. But quick Google search shows that hotate is scallops. Sounds good tbh and I'd each that in a heartbeat.

Edit: also to add, i didnt know scallops came in a shell like clams or muscles 😅😅😅
