In this video, Tim Warner covers managing resource properties and file classification infrastructure (FCI) in Windows Server 2012.

File classification infrastructure lets you tag files and folders with descriptions, then take action based on what those tags say.

With dynamic access control, you can deploy discretionary access control lists that use conditional logic.

You can also take advantage of the expanded auditing capability Windows Server 2012 provides, which uses conditional logic to scan files for various properties.

For example, it could detect successful and failed access attempts on files that are tagged with specific properties, such as personally identifiable information.

After explaining the theory behind this capability, Tim will demonstrate how to set up and utilize this fantastic utility.
