Replace average, nerdy outcast boy with teen heart-throb, replace fiery tempered girl with an ethereal pixie, replace masculine, tough teen girl with adorable pretty girl, replace old, bird-like woman with pretty young model, replace corpse-like monsters with Slenderman. Yup, it's a Hollywood adaptation, alright. Also, they fact that Jacob is peculiar too is supposed to be a twist.

The movie was great— for those who haven't read that book or not appreciated the book that much.

For me, this was an okay movie, but I would still prefer the original plot which's in the book. I don't know what happened, I expected more especially since I've read the three books and even the extra one, and the director is exceptional. But it didn't met my expectations, being a huge fan of the book— this movie's okay. No hate, I still liked it. :)
