I live in Southern California, and I know good and damn well we are not prepared for anything like a hurricane. We can barely drive in the rain. Really hoping it blows a different direction.

Being born and raised in Cali but now living in Florida, please be prepared for this storm. Don’t panic buy but definitely be prepared. Make sure you have sandbags, non perishable food, water, batteries, flashlights, portable chargers and any other necessities. This will bring lots of rain, wind and flooding.

*You don't know.* I live on the East Coast. We've been through this before. A lot.
Please take it seriously. It might be a dud, it hopefully will be. But sometimes they can also be catastrophic.
We won't know how threatening it truly is until it makes ground there.

That young professional is really good at communicating about the storm. I hope he gets promoted well and given good opportunities. Most people do not have the skill to articulate that well and succinctly in that short time frame

The roads in Southern California aren't built for drainage, so the water will accumulate. Since there isn't much rain, that means oil that's leaked onto the freeway isn't regularly washed away. And add to that the idiots to like to say that the reason for traffic delays is drivers slowing down too much when it's raining who will continue to drive too fast and then spin out when they hit a slippery spot. Everyone just needs to stay off the roads on Sunday and Monday.

Never underestimate Mother Nature. There are so many So Cal residents not prepared for earthquakes. It not a matter of if, it's a matter of when!

This was the most concise and complete coverage I've seen so far. The right questions were asked, and the delivery of the forecast was simple enough for anyone to follow, and yet gave a wealth of information that anyone interested enough could use to dig deeper. Finally, there was no downplaying the potential for disaster this storm could bring. Let's pray God pushes it into that sliver of cold water by Baja and weakens it significantly. ❤
Thank you.

Thank you for such a great explanation. I'm in Southern California and feel somewhat concerned after living through several hurricane seasons on the East Coast. Flooding can happen FAST and halt normal life.

I wish it would continue north and refill Lake Mead and Lake Powell. You'd be surprised what heavy tropical rain and runoff can do.

Excellent reporting by David! Succinct and detailed information with outstanding motion graphics that were very well presented. Best weather reporting I've seen in a long time. I'll be sure to keep him tuned in for the next couple of days and for any future weather events.
