IOS 16 IS supported on IPhone 8 and up. I do NOT recommend putting 16 on the 8 and 8 plus. Use IOS 15.6. Been there done it I downgraded my older 8 plus back to 15.5.

It’s soo buggy, battery is weak, microphone is not working, videos in browsers like safari, chrome, and opera are not working only the audio is working
