Cakewalk is amazing and all for free, with continuous updates, free plugins etc....it is wonderful with external plugins like Kontakt. I can't praise this software for PC enough, so good...and there is a good man Creative Sauce with many video tutorials, gold for beginners and advanced users

Thanks for this video. I have a Spotify premium account, which software is the best to stream music through Spotify into a 1 hr type radio show and then share it later via Apple Podcast, YouTube and other platforms? I don't have access to music subscription services or beatport, so just curious what you recommend?

Cakewalk is totally free with unlimited tracks - and is superior to many DAWS costing hundreds - It is so far ahead of the other "Free" DAWS that your discussion is really searching for the DAW that is in 2nd place - Your round up is useless if you can't test on a Windows pc!

*SIGH*
- Ardour IS free.. but you have to compile it yourself, or get it via a packagemanager within a linux distro (precompiled). Precompiled directly from them costs pocket change money, because they do the compiling for you (work!). But still: ARDOUR IS FREE (open source even!) .. You are quite off track (like with many videos you do, let's be honest!) skipping ardour, because of BAD investigation from your part. TO BAD since ardour (and it's commercial brother: mixbus) is very good.
in contrast (which is very illogical from YOUR side)
reaper.. wow, you go full throttle on that daw.. showing things, etc.. while that daw is NOT FREE, so that one SHOULD be skipped immediately! Clock trick or not.. its just isn't free!
If you skip ardour because you claim it's not free.. but you allow reaper to sneak in and do a tiny review on it.. is very WEIRD and ignoring your own rule: free (as in pricing). Shame on you!
"Ofcourse they want you ot buy the 60USD version, or better yet the 225USD version" <- you are REQUIRED to pay up, if are going to use it longer than the trial period. Don't abuse that, do not promote abusing the infinite trial trickery (like you just did!).. because that is ILLEGAL!
- If you haven't used Linux, why put linux only daws in your list, without even touching them yourself? (you claim you did test all mentioned daws, so we don't have to: which is not true) How could you possibly tell anything about them, or provide cons or pro's from your own experiences.. better leave them out next time. Or fire up a linux distro and use them...
All in all this video is very poorly done, quite a few mistakes/lies in it.. it should be taken offline and redone properly.

I find it odd that you couldnt test cakewalk because it isn't a mac program, while Many of your videos say that Macs are not the best for music production and you recommend windows laptops often. Why does someone who says Apple is overated and recommend windows not use a windows machine?

Reaper has the easiest side-chaining ever just click & drag... Also literally everything is
