Working out definitely helps but it would be nice to have some influencers discuss the other areas of health that impact women's ability to lose belly fat. I used to work out 5 days a week sometimes twice a day and lost a total of 5 lbs after doing that for almost a year. What no one was telling me: hormones can dictate your weight. What everyone was telling me instead: it's calories in vs calories out... you have to be consistent... you must not be sweating enough... Meanwhile, I was going through very drastic measures to even lose the 5 lbs. What I have learned about MY body is that sleep is better for it than cardio, the timing of my workouts matter, STRESS is public enemy #1, my weight WILL fluctuate as life stresses me out or as I get better at selfcare. I love Jo and her workouts, I just wish fitness pros would talk about the other stuff too.

I just put on jeans today that didn’t even fit before I got pregnant. I’m 13 months postpartum and losing inches and weight all thanks to your at home workouts and I’m having fun doing it! Never found a workout besides Shawn t hip hop abs that made me want to workout until now!! Thank you so much, Jo!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

I feel like finding Jo’s page and her simple walking exercises are a sign from God. Idk if it will work for me as for my physical health conditions. But, I’m going to start exercising today even if it only helps my mental health (major depression disorder and anxiety). I’ve been working on self care for about a year now. I started back dating MYSELF, getting massages for my chronic back pain, getting mani and pedis again, and cutting toxic people out of my life. My physical health conditions, as told my two different doctors, will only be solved with surgery. I was diagnosed with diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia in 2018. Had hernia surgery in 2019, he placed a mesh in me and it was put in completely wrong. You can literally see and feel it through my skin. In 2020, was told that my hernia was back that I need revision surgery to remove the mesh and repair the hernia in order to repair my muscles in my abdomen. I’m not ready to have surgery again. So, I’ll give Jo’s walking exercises a chance. ♥️

Well the story changes a little bit after multiple pregnancies, turning 40, autoimmune issues, and a child with a chronic health condition. I am 100% with you about health and exercise;however, unfortunately there is a LOT more to it to have abs like that for most people. Particularly as women get older and hit paramenopause. So yes, be active, eat well, but also accept that your body at 40 is NOT your body at 25 or 30.

This is so sad. It made me remember when a friend of mine’s mom told me my body would never look or feel like I did before having my daughter. So I gave up. I sadly didn’t try and heard her words in my mind and took them for facts. But, now with the help of so many (including Jo❤) I am confident to say I want to love myself again. My daughter is 10. It took me 10 years to break out of this shell I beat myself to fit in. I will love me again. Even if she doesn’t look like the person in the mirror 10 years ago. 💛💛💛💛💛💛
