The ensemble consists of five circus artists on stage, performing acrobatics, equilibristics, handstands, aerial hoop and straps, as well as playing live music with electric instruments and their bodies equipped with motion sensors. The group behind the scenes consists of a program developer, lighting designer, sound designer, videographer and a game designer. The concept was first created by Circus Artist Eikka Alatalo and it utilizes a variety of circus disciplines and electronic music. Group acrobatics especially depicts the importance of human-to-human communication. Equilibristic and aerial acrobatics skills offer intriguing visuals in conjunction with the soundscapes produced by the movement of the acrobats. The project is a continuum of Eikka Alatalo’s AudioVisual CircuitCircus methods research which started in 2017 at Stockholm University of the Arts.
