Stop blaming Islam for this. The shooter was bigoted, he was homophobic. It had nothing to do with religion, he wasn't even religious. You guys in the comments need to grow the fuck up. It was a hate crime and shit like this needs to stop. We need to be united as a country, not divided because people can't see eye to eye.

This is beautiful, ...coming to terms with who you are is so powerful & life changing. sadly this hell violence is only a small sliver of our reality. We (LGBTQ) all fight self hate daily whether we admit it or not. Pride parades & other events are for us to shed institutionalized shame together, one time a year, together as a community. The shooter was one of us, we claim him, not for what he did, but cuz he was lost on that long darkest roads we all have to go down. RIP Orlando peeps
