When my husband and I moved into our 200 year old home I found that exact item u built! I’m from NYC AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS! So I gave it to my husband and he used it as firewood! Now since 2018 I’ve been growing my 3.5 acres into a veggie and flower garden and really wish I had it back! I believe it was extremely old based on the condition. Fun idea! I would use a bead of silicone caulk in the corners to seal them as I think it would be easier to do.
