Most golf courses look the same: large, bright green stretches of closely-cropped lawns, flanked by lush vegetation and peppered with ponds and sand-filled bunkers. Uniform-clad golfers drive around the courses in golf carts. They pay their annual dues—often multiple thousands of dollars—to golf clubs, which foster an aristocratic playing experience, lending the sport its presidential connotation. Across the United States, golf is widely considered a rich man’s sport.

As somebody who lived in the high desert of Arizona for ten years and next to the White Mountain Apache reservation this brings me back and makes me happy. I had so many Navajo and Apache friends and the community their and the place will always be with me. Thank you Callaway and The Atlantic for doing this feature.

Reminds me of when me and my dad played Forest golf when we went camping. You can play golf anywhere and have fun. I would really enjoy to play this course one day. Great work.

I helped build a golf course in the '70's. It was a family investnment that went horribly wrong. I hate golf. After watching this I am changing my mind. Family, fun, etc..The fry bread smells great!
