If Stewart wins the championship, then itll be since 2004 since a driver other than jimmie or Tony has won a championship. If you would like to go into more details, then it would be since 2001 since a driver other than Stewart, Johnson, or a Roush driver has won a championship.

@Pizzaboy139 yeah, and no matter who wins this year (tony or carl or even kevin or matt) it would have been all chevy and fords since 2001.
