This is based on our NeurIPS 2023 spotlight paper "Neural Foundations of Mental Simulation: Future Prediction of Latent Representations on Dynamic Scenes", as well as earlier work we did in rodent visual cortex in our PLOS Comp Bio 2023 paper entitled "Mouse visual cortex as a limited resource system that self-learns an ecologically-general representation".

A longer talk that encompasses both these papers can be found on YouTube under the title "Using Embodied AI to help answer 'why' questions in systems neuroscience".
