2:45 - the word "Bürger" translates to 'civilian' into english; although it stems from the "Burg" (castle), as those living [in the city] next to a castle (inside the walls) got certain privileges and where more protected than those who lived in the countryside in villages.

So the 'Hamburg' is the 'castle of Ham' ( *which might be another joke in itself* ), and the 'burger' would be, if literally translated, mean 'castler', at least from one perspective.

Fun fact, the pronunciation of 'burger' would be (probably) written down as 'Börger', if a German who was completely isolated from english would hear that word for the first time. Though it is now so widely known, that pretty much everyone knows what a burger is and wouldn't confuse it with the word Bürger.
