Sometimes I need to unload the camper because I will be going into an area were I'm would have trouble finding parking for a 12' tall vehicle. Leaving the camper at the camp site and using just the truck allows me to use the parking garage.
I've also had a couple times where I needed to go help a friend that was stuck on a 4x4 trail so being able to unload the camper allowed me to not beat up the camper and reduced my chances of also getting stuck.

No I have never unloaded, except at home.

I’ve wanted to a few times. But? It was hot, windy, or… Just worried an electrical issue would leave me stranded unable to use manual crank method to lower/raise the unit. I have yet to setup my electric impact with the proper socket to use if electrics give out. 😢
