Blue inks don't do it for me. I grew up using fountain pens with blue ink at school, i think maybe that is why i think it is really boring. I love teals though. I do have RO Denim and really like it as it is not that typical of a blue.
I love Noodler's Walnut. Beautiful colour and well behaved (for a Noodler's ink). It isnt super dark. Oh and unlike you i love gold antiqua. But i gravitate to the medium dark ones. Too dark blues or greens arent my thing. If it is dark i want a real true black.
Thank you for swatching the Robert Osters. I love that brand and seeing them like this saves me from some purchases.
My fav is Khaki (they spell it Khakhi).

I loved watching this video! It’s hard to stay with a train of thought when you are also evaluating colors, so I was following right along on your sidetracks. 😹 My fave of these is Great Southern Ocean. I have a sample, but haven’t inked it up yet. I lean more towards teal blues and blue-blacks. I put Eucalyptus Leaf and Khakhi on my wish list. Have you seen gadgetstop321 on YouTube? She has been doing some videos lately with one color and multiple nibs. She dips the nibs of the pens and writes with them. It’s been great to see how an ink looks in a wet writer and a dry writer. I could watch swatching videos all day, so thank you so much for sharing! 🧡🖋

I'm with you . . . I hate reading light inks and I assume we write in order to read. If not, I'd have many more favorite inks.

The deep dark blues are my favorites. Liking Velvet Storm - I think that is the one some say is a dupe for Lamy Petrol?

Still seems like you left Noodler’s hanging there. You paid $6 shipping for 54th…then what?

Thanks Sarah. Question. What do you do with the samples you don't like?

Love this type of video, it feels like we’re hanging out! (And I laughed pretty hard when you announced you’d been talking to yourself. 🤣) Your inks are so pretty and I love seeing the swatches. You know I’ll be attempting One Book July for the first time this year! I haven’t seen any “official” videos about it — I also totally didn’t realize it was that time of year until Amy Graham posted about it sooo I’m just going to bumble along and have fun with it! 😆

if you havent might I suggest a dip pen that uses an actual fountain pen nib.

I really enjoyed your video and can truly relate to you regarding this crazy fall-like weather we've been experiencing here in the south in June. 😕 I use the exact same glass pen and noticed the broader line it puts down. I still use alongside another fountain pen I just dip in the ink samples and write. I saw five colors I may order samples of that piqued my interest. Thanks for being real in your videos!!

I enjoyed this video. It was very soothing, and Lordy, I needed some soothe this week. Is that a TRP notebook you’re swatching in?

Oooh velvet storm looks lovely!
I've limited myself to waterproof inks so that I don't end up buying too many 🤣🤣🤣 (I do have a few non-waterproof samples b/c I was curious about shimmering & sheening inks)
I'm on the hunt for some good teal and gold inks, but I can't seem to find any waterproof options 😅

Velvet storm is my favorite ink right now. I like his black violet, too.

This was a fun video, even though I could tell you felt discombobulated. lol I love swatching videos, and I love how you have yours in a notebook.I also agree that a swatch is totally different than being in a pen, but the swatch gives you the idea of what range of color you might see in the ink, but nib and swatch are often different. I love School Blue in your swatches, but I didn't care for it when I had it in a pen - maybe a different nib would've been better. I have used Thunderstorm before, and it's amazing.

Also, keep in mind, some of the lighter inks in your swatches may have excellent shading, if that's a thing you like. and you're not picky, we just like what we like, and that's not bad. :) I go back and forth between the two samples you had on your last page because my favorite purple is Sydney Lavender, and those are similar but different but I don't like them as much as Sydney Lavender. haha. enjoy playing with your inks! :)

Love the Berry d’arche & purple rock! I laughed when you swatches the true blue, I think it is an Aussie thing, it’s just the color of the flag & true blue is a phrase meaning you’re a true blue Aussie, with loyal mateship or camaraderie, like you’ll always lend a helping hand, I don’t know really how to explain it, but I think some of the names are kind of that Aussie slang 😅 Thanks for a lovely video {I think all my videos are all over the place like this, not fun lol} 💌

I think im loving the r.o blue denim and the r.o maroon 1789 😍 and I actually did decide to try one book july because I've never done it, and I also decided to get out of my comfort zone of pocket/A6 and decided to try your beloved standard size! Lol 😆 I got a really simple setup, single string t.n I had in my stash with a kraft folder jumpbanded to an insert i found on amazon that I also had in my stash and never used thats literally for one month, it came in this cheap set and has one monthly overview, 4 weekly spreads and daily pages for the whole month, so I decided that was perfect to try out since standard size scares the bejeezus me 😩

Plus Monteverde Scotch Brown is a nice brown, and Monteverde Olivine is a nice green :)
