We can write two-digit numbers in different ways. We can write them as two-digit numbers, tens and ones, expanded form, and word form. When we write a number in expanded form, we write the value of each digit with a plus sign between them. When we write a number in word form, we write the number by only using words. Some word form numbers have a hyphen, like the number twenty-one. We solve three word problems using word form, expanded form, tens and ones, and two-digits. We use higher order thinking skills to complete a table with different ways to write numbers, and to fill in blanks to make a sentences true. All of the charts that I used in this video are available in my JoAnn's School Facebook page photo section in the "Charts, Grids" album.
