Travel Film | Soul of Sharjah

An intense trip through the incredible region of Sharjah in the UAE. This beautiful and often over-looked state provides subject matter for this high-speed travel film. I actually posted this over 4 years ago on my Vimeo page where it won a Staff Pick award but am only now getting started on YouTube so wanted to share it here also.

In this film I tried to reflect the sense of adventure one gets traveling through Sharjah as well as the warm-hearted nature of the locals. It took a lot of inspiration from filmmakers like Vincent Urban, Leonardo Dalessandri and Alex Lee. It was definitely a challenge to my editing skills at that point and I spent a long time working on the various transitions to get them right but the process was an enjoyable learning curve and definitely leveled-up my Premiere Pro edit skills.
