Leg-lock bridge

Показать описание
This is a variation of a single leg bridge. The reason it's called "leg-lock" is that we "lock the non-working leg in place with the hands so that it "locks out" the lumbar spine. By preventing lumbar extension, we prevent a common cheat. What's left is just hip extension. If you find that you get much less range with this than with a regular bridge, it's a sign you were probably cheating with lumbar extension in the glute bridge.

This exercise is sometimes referred to as a Cook hip lift, named after Gray Cook.
