The more D&D 5E content there is the more broken it becomes. Roleplaying isn't about massive complex systems and options. It's about coming up with non-character sheet system solutions on the fly.. No 5e system tells me how to use a ten-foot pole, how to use a piton, rope, etc. The pole can test for trap triggers s a fairly safe distance away, a piton can (loudly installed) keep a door from being closed or break it's hinges, etc.

5e is a little more broken every time they release another book.
