After 2 years they finally made some improvements!
The recent mobile port of the Definitive Edition by Netflix has brought some *interesting* changes.

Yeah...they made some interesting changes and improvements.
I, for one, would love to see these improvements make their way to the console and PC versions.

These remasters have had one of the weirder journeys of all of gaming. I would never have thought in a million years that the mobile version would be the best version. That is absolutely insane to me.

The definitive edition was the most weird games out here; a broken mobile port that was transferred to unreal for pc and consoles being more broken, ported again to mobile and surprisingly fixed (almost)

I still say the Definitive Edition should've still been reworked from the ground up. Most of the issues of DE exist on a fundamental level, and the fixes that was done here in the Mobile ports were more like slapping a new coat of paint on a wrecked car. Classic Lighting being an option in the Settings rather than being an in-engine overhaul is a great example of this. I don't blame the new devs since they're working on a build previously done by other devs, but this is why I say a complete rework is needed.

Realistically this probably won't happen in the foreseeable future, and this is the best that we'll get. And even if they did, I still won't get it or do anything with it as DE is still a sore point for me as a modder.

A lot of people don't realise how much of a bitch it is to try and continue someone elses work in game dev, so can understand why a lot of issues still remain, and why theres a lot of bandaid fixes. Having to pick up the mess of an incompetent game studio, who threw the game into UE expecting it to work magically out the box, sounds very painful.

if they update the pc version to add the features from this new mobile version i might consider purchasing it finally, to some people its not much but i think the new features, fixes and graphics make it so more enjoyable

In the case you wonders about Cj's bones(body), Groove Street games tried to make their own bones and fucked up everything, but this new company actually took the old bones from the game and put it there, this fixed the god damn bones

I think this is the best we’re going to get officially, now the mobile ports are out there’s nothing stopping R* from abandoning this now.

Hopefully they release a patch for the other platforms before they do that though.

The entire story behind this remaster is so dumb by this point. People are waiting to get minor updates by years, while Rockstar needs to keep paying for someone to keep finishing these remaster, bit by bit.

By that point just return everyone their money, say sorry, and return the original versions, and put this behind you.

I think that it was copied from mobile version of the aniversary and pasted again in the unreal engine.(same grapics are visible with aniversary and defenative mobile) but on defenative mobile has improved grapics.
