Breathe on me, breath of God. There are themes running through the readings connected with coming to life through God's spirit. The first of them is Ezekiel 37: 1-14. The dry bones are connected and clothed in sinew and skin when Ezekiel first prophecies, but they do not live. It needs the breath of God to bring them fully alive. So equally today, for those who exist, but do not feel alive, this is a passage that speaks about the life giving breath of God. I recommend this hymn sung to the tune Carlisle at R&S 499.

Like that you have used this tune - the one I remember from school in the 1960s and my brother-in-law chose this for his wedding
