The Patience of the Christ (According to His Own Testimony)1 Corinthians 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: Recall: The Testimony of the skins of animals (a Lamb Slain ever since the downcast of that harmonious arrangement known as the Garden of Eden). The Patience of the Christ to remain under the voice of His Father (obedient) until death even the Death of the Cross. That which is perfect is come refers to the Testimony of the Christ, to the Patience of the Christ, Whose Testimony, when CONFIRMED among us, assures that we come behind in no gift, (while) waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Corinthians 1:7 His Patience graces us with the patience to wait for His coming.Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.Note: The “Perfected Thing:” which is the Testimony of Christ. The term “perfected” agrees with the term “testimony” in number, gender and case! The “perfected thing” is the Completed Thing: His testimony is complete, because of His Patience to “Complete It!”

From Genesis 3:21 “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” To the sin-offering crouching at Cains’ door, until the Apocalypse of Jesus Christ, the His Testimony prevailed unto PERFECTION/COMPLETION!John the REVELATOR bore record of It:Revelation 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.John the REVELATOR suffered for It:

Revelation 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

A. Tribulation (Pressure) the Kingship and the Patience of Jesus Christ: Companionship in these inseparable features of His Kingship is our “fellowship-together with” each other (our common-union) in the kingship along with the Pressure and the Patience.

B. Just as the Word of God, and the Testimony of Christ are inseparable, conjoined truths, because one cannot be known apart from the other.John the Revelator noticed: Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

A. The one which keep the commandments of God are described accordingly:1.τῶν τηρούντων τὰς ἐντολὰς τοῦ θεοῦ The ones who are keeping the commandments of the God:

“Commandments refers to all that God the Father did, (sent His only begotten Son), all that the Father taught (John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. [by those prophets whom the Father sent forth] Every man therefore that hath heard, and [that is] hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

2. “Keeping” refers to adhering, observing, even guarding: John stated that His commandments (the commandments of Jesus Christ) are not (1 John 5:3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Note: Our keeping is not grievous, although His Patience to accomplish them, to teach them, to live them out, to die according to them was GRIEVOUS, indeed!

3. [The Prophets spoke of Jesus the Lamb of God; namely, His patience Cf. Isaiah 52, 53 & Psalm 22, etc. and recall that Jesus stated that Moses wrote of Him].

B. καὶ ἐχόντων τὴν μαρτυρίαν τοῦ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ That is, the ones who are “having/holding” the Testimony of the Jesus Christ describes what it meant to be “keepers of the commandments of God (the Father of Jesus Christ): He commanded us accordingly: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”Conclusion: The Testimony of Christ would forever remain wanting were it not for the Patience of the Christ,

A. The Patience that caused Him to suffer

B. The Patience that sustained Him to remain-under His Father’s voice even until death, the Death of the Cross

C. The Patience to endure such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

D. The Patience of the Christ caused Him to

1. Be oppressed 2. be afflicted,

E. Above ALL, The Patience of the Christ was exemplified

1. When He opened not his mouth:

2. When He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, He was like a sheep before her shearers3. He was Silent: He opened not His mouth.
