Policy and regulatory frameworks are gaining steam in the fashion industry, from California’s Garment Worker Protection Act (SB62) and New York’s Fashion Sustainability and Social Accountability Act, to the EU's Mandatory Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (mhreDD) and the Good Clothes Fair Pay living wage due diligence legislation.
This event will explore the power of policy to hold the industry accountable and build a fair fashion system for the people that make our clothes. Speakers from Garment Worker Center, Fair Wear Foundation and Human Rights Watch will be taking part.
