Beautiful songwriter, author and singer Morrissey first gained fame as the lead singer of the 80s band The Smiths. His music is often characterized with “lyrics with recurring themes of emotional isolation, sexual longing, self-deprecating and black humour, and anti-establishment stances”. He is also remembered as being somewhat of a sex symbol performing shirtless with his signature quaff and glasses. Of course, the quaff wasn’t his idea but a throwback to the hair styles of the 1950s. I remember when I lived in London, I would always see this really cute ride by on his bicycle who happened to have the Morrissey look. Then one day I saw him wearing a t-shirt with Morrissey on it…..what a let down!! I think he many of his younger pictures as well as the pictures of him aging he has a Montgomery Clift thing going on. “Everyday Is Like Sunday” was written by Morrissey and Stephen Street for the 1988 studio album “Viva Hate”.

I really like the sounds and stylized looks of the 80s. Morrissey does have a Montgomery Cliff thing going, whom I happened to like, especially when he acted with Elizabeth Taylor. I liked him in his glasses. He aged quite well. In fact, I think he was handsomer with age. That picture with his cat was priceless.
