Re: boiler. If you don't know that that the wood used for the match sticks is food safe, I would skip that hack. Further, various metals are used in razor blades, and some metals are highly poisonous. Yeah, unless you need boiling water for something other than human consumption, I'd just pass on that one.

The jar can be opened easily if you warm the cover with hot water or a hair dryer. The metal will dilate and opens up easier :)

i dont think you should use the electrifying water thingy. what your doing is electrolyses: sepperating H2O to H2 and O so your making hydrogen gas.

Good job on the video. Very insightful. I have a little concern for the razor blade hack. Not only does the water heat up, but there will be some small release of anything in or on the metal. A Teflon coated, chromium plated razor blade will release small amounts of chromium and Teflon into the water. Over time, this might become a problem. Best to use two stainless steel spoons, forks, or knives using this same technique, with perhaps a piece of wood or plastic to insulate/isolate the metal. Real silverware would even get you a small amount of colloidal silver; something that many feel keeps away colds and flus.
