SHE DID IT! - NAVY Boot Camp Graduation | Proud Parents!

Navy Recruit Training Command Center determined, that after 8 weeks in training, she had what it takes to be a SAILOR in the US NAVY! We took a trip to Chicago from our homestead in Southeast Michigan, to attend the ceremony. She will now spend two more years at Naval Station Great Lakes for schooling, before heading off to sea. We're so proud every single step you've taken on this journey Abigail, and cannot wait to see you again - hopefully soon!

Fun fact, this was NOT our first time attending a Navy Boot Camp Graduation. Our son also graduated from RTC few years ago, and is still on Active Duty today. ⚓

Every citizen in the USA should attend one of these Armed Forces ceremonies to see these dedicated young men and women as they proudly begin serving our country. After my son's graduation from the USAF boot camp we had a chance to visit with many of the airmen and were heartened to see and hear about their patriotism and eagerness to serve. These fine men and women of our Armed Forces are the protectors of our Constitution, our freedoms and liberty. Very proud of them all!

Graduated boot camp in 1980. State flags was my company. There is nothing like being out to sea. You never forget it.

My daughter is a Navy Chief, FMF Corpsman and I remember her boot camp graduation like it was yesterday! So impressive. My daughter also taught Corps School when it was there. She’s been to GTMO, Afghanistan, east coast, west coast and is presently attached to the Marines again in Camp Pendleton. Fair winds and following seas!
