Adapting to climate change: A new BSI international standard

These standards, which were developed by the BSI, offer a flexible way to make a plan that is consistent, replicable and verifiable to identify impacts and prioritise actions to ensure resilience

Climate change will affect many engineering-based sectors including energy, manufacturing, the built environment and infrastructure to mention a few. For example, the energy sector will be impacted from disruption of energy supply to changes in heating and cooling requirements and across manufacturing supply chains will potentially be disrupted and there will be changes in the availability of eco-systems services. Shifts in temperature and rainfall patterns will impact materials.
