Satiric postmodern collage... post-apocalyptic punk... two trippy movies about out-of-this-world music!

The show starts at 6pm with director Rene Daalder's (MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH) undersung 1986 gem POPULATION:1 where the last survivor of the planet's nuclear annihilation finds himself trapped in an underground control room recounting the history of his world through musical numbers. Starring Tomata Du Plenty of The Screamers, also featuring Penelope Houston (The Avengers), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), Beck, Maila Nurmi (Vampira), Al Hansen and more! Don't miss this one-of-a-kind cult classic that Ira Brooker of Letterboxd calls a "flashy, frenetic, audibly assaultive chunk of art-sleaze."

Stick around for a 15 minute intermission after that film's conclusion featuring rare trailers before the final half of the program begins at 8:30pm with Craig Baldwin's (TRIBULATION 99: ALIEN ANOMALIES UNDER AMERICA) brilliant documentary SONIC OUTLAWS (1995), a hyperactive maximalist examination of multimedia plagiarism, copyright infringement and culture jamming in relation to the notorious Negativland and their combative lawsuit from Island Records. "Creative, subversive, and often outright funny," this celebration of creativity ranks among the finest films of the 1990s!

Don't miss our free double-feature on Tuesday, November 28th and be sure to come early for hot food, cold drinks and super secret short films preceding each movie!
