BOBA FETT: Awesome or Overhyped?
In this video, I lay out the reasons why Boba Fett actually is a badass, and I do it while only referencing the original Star Wars trilogy. (Video reuploaded due to low audio issue)

(This video was released prior to The Mandalorian Season 2)

Also, in his fight scene in episode 14 of the Mandalorian, Boba doesn’t get shot once. He’s able to kill Stormtroopers before they can even shoot him.

My personal head canon for why Boba caught on to Han's trick is that he's seen it before. It could be that he remembered when he was with his father and how they both thought Obi Wan had died in Geonosis' asteroid belt, and maybe the whole Asteroid belt chase in the Hoth/Bespin system reminded him of that, or he could have seen it been pulled off at any other time in his bounty hunting career.

This is entirely true. They show us enough in the movies to inform the audience he is a threat mostly through the way Darth Vader treats him. The other points add even more on top of that

And if you *DO* count the Expanded Universe, both Canon AND Legends, Fett *does* get out of the Sarlacc's tummy.

About the no disintegrations part: It's actually both. He knows what Boba's capable of AND also has a bad experience with Boba disintegrating people. In canon, Boba once took out 3 rebel spies As Vader requested, but he disintegrated them, and because there weren't any bodies (because of the disintegration), Vader refused to pay him. So technically they both failed each other: Boba failed Vader by not being able to show him the dead bodies, and Vader failed Boba by not paying him. I know that this video is strictly based on the films and I used a canon book As a reference for this, but I think It's interesting. Other than that, great video, It's not my first time revisiting it and it definitely won't be the last!

1:22 So even George Lucas embraced Boba Fett simply because he looked so cool.

Maybe boba fett gets special treatment because he’s a clone of Jango fett just like all the clone troopers and it reminds him of his old clone teammates before he was darth Vader

Greatest Star Wars video ever. I get that not everyone wants to think as far into a character with so little screentime, but I wish people would maybe look a bit deeper and understand Boba before calling him overhyped/overrated.

What's also worth noting is that Boba has been in the bounty hunting business since he was like middle school age. He's a direct clone of the former greatest known bounty hunter, who we've seen execute Jedi on screen. I get that Boba's "demise" in RoTJ is silly, but look at Obi-wan and Vader's duel in ANH. A far cry from what happened on Mustafar. Just a result of the time the movies were made in, from my perspective.

Aside from hype for The Book of Boba Fett, the canon book “From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back” actually does show how Boba found Han, and it was ridiculously complicated! He snuck Slave-I into the Star Destroyer’s garbage airlock and fed false coordinates to all the other bounty hunters! That’s just the base of Boba’s plan to outsmart Solo.

7:10 My own head-cannon is that Boba didn't know the Falcon was there. He was just using the same trash stream to hide his own exit from the Avenger, since, being a bounty hunter of some note, he's learned to take some precautions and not just jump out of a docking bay and head off blindly.

Can I point out that Vader might have left Boba off with just a stern warning, even if he did botch up a mission?

Boba had beskar armor, actual Mandalorian training, and mandalorian gear. Vader attempting to execute him might have been an embarrassing mis-step, since his response to being force-choked would likely be "Barbecue the space wizard" instead of "must get air."

An execution turning into an all-out fight he barely wins wouldn't be a good look for Vader.

In the episode 2 commentary George Lucas says Boba knew where Han was hiding because of the encounter he and Jango has with Obi-wan on the way to Geonosha

Boba knew han would leave during the garbage dump because he knew it was an old smugglers trick

Han did the same thing Obi Wan did in Attack of The Clones. Boba picked up on that trick and wanted to confirm his suspicions.

Mandalorian Season 2 made him even more badass, and hearing him talk shit straight to the faces of two mandalorians was the scariest thing I’ve ever heard, knowing that he could easily kill everyone in that room with his bare hands, albeit slower than Jango.

People who call Boba Fett overrated and say he doesn't do anything must have a brain the size of a pea.
