The Hidden Hero in Fighting Modern Diseases?

Consider exploring the potential benefits of a high-fiber diet! Historically, it has been observed that communities consuming 50-100 grams of fiber daily might have experienced fewer instances of conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and digestive disorders, compared to the modern average intake of about 7 grams per day. This striking difference suggests that increasing fiber could be a vital step towards better health.

Why are they crazy? 40 years ago, we called it 'roughage' in the Caribbean. We ate lots of potatoes, corn meal lots of spinach, cabbage, collard greens, green bananas, sweet potatoes, yams, eddoes and all the other ground provisions. There were no fastfoods like now. There is so much more obesity especially among young people. They have a point.

Explain the pre-contact Inuit who ate practically no fibre and lots of fat and meat but were perfectly healthy.

That’s funny considering our digestive system is closer to a pure carnivore such as a lion that an ape or herbivore. Our system isn’t designed to digest slot of fiber. Our colon is too short to digest it.

In the UK it's very hard to find a good dentist and it's very expensive to have any dental treatment. That's why so many people have terrible teeth and they often develop heart problems and a whole lot of other problems as the infection from their teeth spreads all over their body. Teeth with a metal cap are often the culprit and once that they're removed, people feel so much better in the next few days.
Doctors never ask their patients about the state of their teeth just like they never ask them about their diet.

Add in far more physical activity and far less highly processed foods with weird additives and contamination. No surprise.

If that is true how come the tribes in Africa, masai mara for example don't have fiber in their diet yet have thrived on meat, milk and honey for 100s of years?

I have had Long Covid for 43 months. I'm getting worse. My 24/7 debilitating fatigue on a daily basis beyond anything you can imagine or endure. You wouldn't make it one day in my shoes. Why you talking about things these basic mundane things? We all know fibers are good for health. Where is the research/talk/attention on Long Covid? 😢
