I had so many valuable Lego sets when I was a kid but now they are lost to time

The 2015 millennium falcon. It was such a long time ago and it was the first set i had saved up money to get. I had no idea how to build it as i was only 9 and had never built anything that big. I asked my dad to help me build it as it was so big and he did. He hadn’t built any legos since the late 80s and it took him 3 days to do it all while teaching me how to build the hard parts. It’s been years and I just finished building the Eye Of Sauron which is my biggest set. It’s amazing and I love it but it will never have as much value as that millennium falcon my dad and I built all those years ago

Mine is the 2007 droid battle pack. My grandmother got me that set as my first ever set, and like you, I got it sealed recently. Still my most valuable set because it reminds me of the unconditional love that I have for my grandmother, and the love she has for me.

2010 turbo tank for me. My Dad surprised me with it in the back of his car after school. I think it was coincidentally close to when he and my mom divorced, but still one of the coolest gifts and surprises I ever had.

beautiful story. I remember feeling the same when I found out the price of Lego sets back then but it just made it even more insane when my parents have me an arc170 for Christmas. Lego made more core memories for me than anything else. Merry Christmas stud

I didn't get into Lego star wars until about 2015 when I was 8 but I remember all I wanted was the force awakens millenium Falcon. I begged my family for ages untill my birthday in 2016 my grandma bought it for me. It may not be a valuable set on the second hand market and is not looked at in any means as even top 3 millenium Falcons but will always be my favourite showing the love my grandma has for me ❤

I remember when I cried because I wanted the 9516 Jabbas Palast soo bad, and finally got it as a birthday gift. It’s not a Christmas story but I still consider this as one of the best moments in my life. My dad helped me build the set and I was the happiest person on this planet. Good old memories…

For me it’s gotta be the imperial dropship. The original was the first Lego set I ever owned. And the 20th anniversary version helped reignite my love for Lego Star Wars. That set will always be special to me. Plus the dark trooper is just straight up badass!

Not really a Christmas memory, but when I was around 6, I visited my Grandpa’s house in Norway, and he had my dad’s Lego collection from when he was a kid there. We disassembled everything and brought it back home with us, and then me and my dad built the sets together, and that sparked my interest in Lego Pirates, and I’m working on completing the collection to this day.

The OG Trade Federation Droid Carrier was one of the first "major purchases" I bought with my own money as a kid! I remembered being floored by just how many battle droids came with the set. Great memories!!

As far as I remember, this was my first (Or one of the first) lego sets I ever got. I still remember going to toys r us as a kid and picking this out. Really wish I still had it, such an awesome set.

Bionicle's for me are the most valuable. Hard to pick one, I collect almost all of them, the series itself is my most valuable.

This set is very special to me too, this was the first thing that I ever saved for (back then allowance for chores and helping my dad at his job) and has an integral part in shaping my views on money as I had to save for like two months, which is very long for a like 8 years old kid ahah
