I got a NEW BIKE!

It's time to conquer my fear of trees

It's been a loooong time, but we're back out on the trails with a beautiful new Cannondale Jekyll! Last time you saw me on the mountain bike, there may have been a slight run-in with a tree. This time around I'm going to do my best to watch out for trees and put the new Jekyll to the test here at Ride Kanuga.

Ride Kanuga is a pedal access bike park with some of the most fun trails I've ever ridden. They also have a set of trail-style dirt jumps and a big jump line called Southeast Style that might be home to a 50ft booter. It sounded like the perfect spot to try out all this extra suspension, so I made the trip and am ready to send.

Camera angle looked good. The forks aligned along the bottom with plenty of trail and headroom. It avoids the dizzying affect of the camera pointed to far down, like so many people tend to do.

Love the channel Jay. The pov was good. It's as close to actually riding as it gets.
I do really like the tripod shots too. It gives you another view of how big these jumps are, but I know you are a one man band, and appreciate how difficult it may be.

Awesome! Don't skip the bolt check before next ride, bike started creaking during the DJ section. Not uncommon after first rides.

Damn Jay!! I just stumbled across your video. Great riding. Then went to check out some of your other videos. WTF! I would have never in a million years guessed you’re a moto guy. Wow dude. You got chops. You rode kanuga better than most MTB guys I’ve seen there. More MTB vids please. I like your style. 🤘🏼. Sweet new bike. I haven’t ridden a Cannondale since the 90’s. E-bikes are fun but the weight penalty is big.

You should add a camera on the back of your helmet just to see what it would look like. taking off over jumps and whips would be cool to see and the slide around berms and what not :) never seen a backwards cam haha

Stoked on your channel bud. Just a reminder, there's rocks everywhere and a reason most MTB'ers run knee pads all the time... not like sliding on smooth dirt or skatelite. cheers!
